Hi, I just subscribed mostly as protest to the absurd reasoning of the mod team, which is unfortunate because the sub is generally free of nonsense. ESPN, Basketball Reference, Spotrac, and Statmuse all sell merch or have subscription options. Websites cost money and time to run and asking for the former to pay for the latter is not just understandable but necessary for artistic (yes, writing is artistic) endeavors to exist. Allowing people to post other's work but not their own is a random line in the sand to draw. I agree with your point about r/Nerouin's articulated explanation - he's just seems inexplicably upset you are on a better platform for user-supported financialization. His oblique talk of incentives is insultingly infantilizing - I'm an adult like most other reddit users and don't need protection from drunk-clicking a subscribe link or something.

Oh - new user request. I'm a fan, not a basketball mind. I don't know the Xs and Os of basketball. That said, I see people complain about Casey's offense and it's hard to take a rando on the Internet's word against the practice of an NBA coach. People say his rotations are bad and I'm like, bro you probably topped out in high school varsity why would I believe you? So if you want to make the case that Casey is a bad offensive coach, I would love to see it.

If you want some idea. I wrote this before the Pistons hired him.

It does appear. The mods keep digging the hole deeper.

Either own up to making a mistake or own up to that you don't care what people think and this is the best course of action.
